Receiving devices from various outposts across the galactic empire received the signal and it was relayed onwards, to be broadcast to the masses. At this juncture, the intent of the transmission remains unknown, but media speculation suggests that it signifies the Mothership's awareness of its impermance. The underpants gnomes disagree with great aplomb.
